There are three versions of the SePem noise logger:

SePem 100 noise logger

• “Lift and Shift” logger designed to be used as a survey tool. The logger is placed in a different location each night. The next day the noise logger is collected and the “quietest noise level” that was stored during the period of measurement is automatically read by the SePem Master Controller. Suspected water leaks are indicated on the Master allowing further investigations to be carried out to locate the possible  leak’s source.

SePem 150 noise logger

• “Drive By” Loggers – for permanent or temporary installation (but can also be used as “Lift and Shift”) noise loggers.
• The logger is placed in a valve chamber. It stores the quietest noise level on the pipe at pre-programed times and intervals (selected by the user).
• Each week, month, or even day, the logger is driven past by an operative with a Master Controller in their van.
• The SePem logger automatically transmits its stored information to the Master. There is no need to exit the vehicle. The “quietest noise level” that was stored during the period of measurement that is higher than normal background noise on the pipe may be leakage. This is indicated on the Master allowing further investigation to take place.

SePem 300 GSM noise logger

• For permanent installation.
• The logger is placed in a valve chamber. It stores the “quietest noise level” on the pipe at pre-programed times and intervals (selected by the user).
• At pre-programmed times the logger transmits the “quietest noise level” values to a central computer running the Sewerin reporting software.
• “Quietest noise levels” that are higher than normal may indicate the presence of a leak. These points of potential leakage are indicated in a database which may be integrated into mapping/GIS software
