Evacuation systems has became an accepted part of the workplace, whether it be offshore, ships, large vehicles, office buildings or construction sites, etc. It can be a simple evacuation chair / evac chair, a chute or slide, and escape hoods and masks, all the way up to complex evacuation equipment that involve detection equipment, alarms, sounders, information systems, and lighting and exits. Obviously, risk assessments should be carried out by a professional person or company as the dangers and situations are so varied and, just as importantly, are always changing.
