Environmental Testing

Environmental testing of water, soil, air, waste, and other products assesses quality and composition that might impact on health and the environment. Soil testing kits or water testing kits monitor and minimise environmental impact on surroundings and provide proof of compliance to regulations. Environmental monitoring describes the processes that characterise and monitor the quality of the environment. Environmental impact assessments measure human activities that carry a risk of harmful effects on the natural environment. Monitoring strategies and programmes are designed to establish the current status of an environment or to establish trends in environmental parameters. The results of monitoring will be reviewed, analysed statistically and published. The monitoring programme must have regard to the final use of the data before monitoring starts.
