Vibration monitoring companies and products help to monitor and mitigate the damage that vibration can do to the body. Hand-arm vibration comes from, in part, the use of hand-held power tools. It is the cause of significant ill health. This includes painful and disabling disorders of the blood vessels, nerves and joints. HAVs are a type of occupational hazard which can lead to hand arm vibration syndrome. How does vibration monitoring help us? There are a couple of ways to lower the risk of damage from hand / arm vibrations without completely reengineering the operation of the tools. This might include increasing dampening of the tool with thicker gloves or increasing the tool's trigger size to decrease the concentration of the vibrations on the contact area. The best course of action, though, would be to buy safer tools that vibrate less.
