Comfort is a major factor in many kinds of workwear across a wide spectrum of industry and professional sectors. And with the introduction of our new generation of stretch fabrics, we set a new and much higher benchmark.
Carrington is able to set these new industry standards because we continually invest in advanced technology. As an international market leader, we also have a great depth of experience and knowledge.
So, our in-house CAD Design Team can work closely with garment manufacturers, distributors and end-users to create uniforms and workwear ranges that are supremely fit for purpose.
It’s yet another technical advance that keeps Carrington comfortably ahead of the competition.
Eol Stretch
Carrington’s new EOL Stretch fabric range utilises a 2nd generation XLA™ fibre solution to provide exceptional comfort, fit, durability, performance and freedom of movement that withstands repeated industrial launderings.
Typically, body movements create strain on the garment at critical flex points but combining the tenacity of polyester with the breathability of cotton, the fabric is processed in a way that delivers new levels of mobility as the yarns have been engineered to give permanent elasticity and stretch.
This allows garments to flex and respond without placing strain on their construction supporting the body’s natural movement in a range of activities, therefore always retaining their original shape, appearance and vitality.
The fabric also offers excellent colour fastness, along with a high degree of resistance to shrinkage and pilling.
The elastolefin core itself is highly resistant to chemicals and heat involved in dyeing, bleaching, mercerising and industrial laundering. In fact, it can withstand temperatures up to 220° Celsius allowing for greater process capabilities and efficiencies. Resistance to high temperatures and chemicals ensures garments are suitable for Industrial Laundry washing, an important requirement for rental markets. Even throughout extended wear and wash cycles, the garments offer superior dimensional stability for better shape retention and longer lasting fit.
Carrington Stretch has been extensively tested to withstand a host of conditions experienced in a wide range of sector applications. Including heavy industry, manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality. This versatility ensures people can work more efficiently and comfortably in the most demanding environments.
Mechanical Stretch
To supplement this range Carrington offer a Mechanical stretch range with high twist yarns to offer a natural stretch in comparison to the rigid woven fabrics normally associated with workwear. Comfortable, versatile and durable, both ranges offer a new age of freedom and flexibility with the Carrington mark of confidence.
