The ultra-compact Pico-O2 is a fiber-optic oxygen meter intended for OEM applications based on the proven high-precision REDFLASH technology from PyroScience. It features very low power consumption, contactless read-out of oxygen sensors through up to 20 mm thick windows.
This OEM module features one optical channel with a PICO-connector, compatible to a variety of fibers and contactless O2 sensors. The optical O2 sensor of your choice must be purchased separately.
Pico-O2 comes with a standard UART interface for integration into custom electronics. In addition, we offer a USB adapter cable PICO-USB including a license for the Pyro Workbench software. When connected to this USB adapter cable, the Pico-O2 can be comfortably configured and operated with a PC using this versatile software.
For temperature compensated measurements, it is possible to solder a Pt100 temperature probe without connector (TSUB21-NC) to the OEM module.
Innovative REDFLASH Technology
The REDFLASH technology from PyroScience is based on the unique analyte-sensitive REDFLASH sensor materials. The REDFLASH sensor materials are excitable with red light and show an analyte-dependent luminescence in the near infrared (NIR). The REDFLASH technology impresses by its high precision, high reliability, low power consumption, low cross-sensitivity, and fast response times. The red light excitation significantly reduces interferences caused by autofluorescent samples. Further, the NIR detection technology significantly reduces interference with ambient light, known from the old blue-light techniques.
