SST Carbon Dioxide Sensors
SST supply market leading Carbon Dioxide sensors, integrating unique mid infra-red light source and detector technology into innovative optics and signal processing. There are 6 product ranges to choose from; CozIR®-A, CozIR®-LP, SprintIR®-W, SprintIR®-6S, ExplorIR®-W and ExplorIR®-M. These CO2 Sensors offer leading edge technology, ultra fast response time, low power and ambient and wide ranges up to 100% CO2. Typical applications for the CO2 sensor range include indoor air quality, HVAC, horticulture, automotive, aerospace, CO2 storage, outdoor air quality, metabolic assessment, breath analysis, sports science, veterinary medicine, food packaging and transportation, industrial safety, instrumentation, agriculture and diving.
SST Liquid Level Switches
SST Sensing’s optical liquid level switches are solid state, so there are no unreliable moving parts. They are compact, only protrude a small distance into the application and are able to detect small amounts of liquid. The intelligent switches have low sensitivity to ambient light and are not affected by foam when in air, or small bubbles when in liquid. Their ability to survive in wide operating temperatures and harsh liquid media for long periods of time result in a very robust switch. If our standard range of optical liquid level switches do not meet your requirements, housings, cabling and connectors can be customised to suit your application needs. We can also incorporate built-in features like PWM outputs and insensitivity to moving liquids.
SST LuminOx Optical Oxygen Sensors
LuminOx O2 sensors provide significant benefits over electrochemical sensors due to their insensitivity to environmental factors such as pressure and temperature. The LuminOx family of factory calibrated optical oxygen sensors measure ambient oxygen levels using the principle of fluorescence quenching by oxygen. The patented technology allows SST to produce a sensor that provides low power operation, while offering a much longer lifetime than electrochemical and galvanic sensors. LuminOx Optical Oxygen Sensors are a completely solid state sensors and contain no lead or liquid electrolytes. They are therefore 100% RoHS Compliant Oxygen Sensors. It also has virtually no cross sensitivity, allowing it to be used in applications where other technologies are unreliable due to the particular mix of gases present.
SST Zirconia Oxygen Sensors
SST’s range of Zirconia Oxygen Sensors use a unique closed loop measurement system. While the sensor continuously measures the oxygen level, a heartbeat signal is also generated providing an immediate warning of any failures. The sensing technology and stainless steel construction allow Zirconia Oxygen Sensors to be used in environments where extreme pressure, temperature and high humidity are present. SST’s zirconium dioxide oxygen sensors offer a range of housing styles, cabling and electrical connections. The sensors can be purchased alone or with integrated electronics offering digital or analogue industry standard outputs. Their long operating life is due to the non-depleting sensor cell technology. No reference gas is required and easy single point calibration can be performed in any known gas including fresh air. The oxygen sensors can measure over a wide oxygen range (0.1 to 100% O₂). The reliability of these sensors means that they are used globally in applications ranging from composting to fuel tank inerting in civilian airliners.

Where a specific solution is required, SST Sensing Ltd will identify the suitable technology and use this as a building block to provide a bespoke customer solution.
Our technical department is comprised of highly experienced and qualified engineers who work extensively with our customers to ensure their requirements are met. Our engineers work with customers to provide full application and technical support if required.
