ExplorIR®-M CO2 Sensor

The ExplorIR®-M CO2 Sensor is based on our SprintIR® technology platform, bringing the benefits of solid state electronics to NDIR CO₂ sensors. ExplorIR®-M CO2 sensor (wide range) uses LEDs to deliver ultra-low power and rugged/vibration-resistant performance to the industrial platform, delivering a sensor capable of measuring 100% CO₂ concentrations with ease.

In continuous operation ExplorIR®-M Sensor delivers two samples/second and consumes only 3.5mW in continuous operation. Even with two carbon dioxide measurements per second delivering low latency and accurate results, it is typically 50 times lower powered than standard NDIR sensors.

The combination of extremely low power consumption and instantaneous warm-up of the ExplorIR®-M CO2 sensor, answers directly the growing demand for sensors which can be integrated into battery or self powered wireless systems, allowing economical real time monitoring of CO2 concentration levels.

In addition, the small 20mm diameter of the ExplorIR®-M sensor makes it the ideal sensor for use in probe applications.

We can supply an optional USB to TTL cable which gives users a fast, simple method to attach our sensors to the PC and directly view measurements.

CozIR®-LP Ambient Air CO2 Sensor

The CozIR®-LP Ambient Air CO2 Sensor is our new range of ultra-low power, low profile CO₂ sensors – it’s the lowest power CO₂ sensor on the market today. The CozIR LP runs on a compact battery, removing the need for larger batteries and supercapacitors. That represents half the power consumption of the best-in-class competing CO₂ sensors. At less than 8mm tall it’s 85% smaller than the CozIR®-A Ambient Air CO2 Sensor which equates to a 40% space saving.

The CozIR®-LP Ambient Air CO2 sensors are designed for building control, HVAC and indoor air quality applications where you are looking to monitor or controls levels of CO₂. The sensor can be integrated into battery operated units, portable devices and wearable technology.

CozIR®-A Ambient Air CO2 Sensor

The CozIR®-A Ambient Air CO2 Sensor is designed to monitor CO₂ in “breathable” air up to 10,000ppm, ideally suited for monitoring CO₂ in buildings, schools, offices or outdoors.

The CozIR®-A Ambient Air CO2 sensor consumes only 3.5mW in continuous operation, with two carbon dioxide measurements per second, and typically consume 50 times less power than standard NDIR sensors.

The combination of extremely low power consumption and instantaneous warm-up time meets the demand for a sensor that will allow for real time monitoring of CO₂ concentration levels and can be integrated into a battery or self powered wireless system. Optional temperature and humidity sensing are available on request.

SprintIR®-W Fast Response CO2 Sensor

The SprintIR®-W fast response CO2 sensor is a high speed sensor, ideally suited for applications which require capture of rapidly changing CO₂ concentrations. Facilitating a measurement rate of 20 readings per second, SprintIR®-W fast response CO2 sensor is the fastest NDIR CO₂ sensor available in the world. It is available with options to support either flow-through or diffusion structures.

The performance ability of the SprintIR®-W CO₂ Sensor is enabled by SmartIR technology, which uses solid state sensing elements to combine low power with high speed and ruggedness in these NDIR sensors. This makes them ideal for use in industrial, medical, aerospace, and other harsh environments such as diving – including handheld and battery powered systems.

ExplorIR®-W CO2 Sensors

Our ExplorIR®-W CO2 Sensors are designed for multi-sensor applications which require more than CO2 measurement, the ExplorIR®-W CO2 Sensors (formally known as the CozIR Wide Range sensor) integrates temperature and relative humidity (RH) sensing. It also offers a voltage output option for integration into legacy systems. As with other SST wide range sensors, it is offered with ranges supporting 0-5% right through to 0-100% concentrations.

Based on SmartIR technology, the sensor consumes only 3.5mW in full-speed operation, delivering two carbon dioxide measurements per second. That’s typically 50 times lower powered than standard NDIR sensors. Other benefits of the SmartIR technology are also included – robustness and vibration proof, being based on sold state LED technology.

The Ultra fast response CO2 sensors with 6 times faster response rate than the current SprintIR®-W is ideal for high speed applications. The SprintIR®-6S has response rates that go unmatched by any other NDIR CO₂ sensor.

SprintIR®-6S Fast Response CO2 Sensor is designed for applications that require capture of rapidly changing CO₂ concentrations, and is suitable for measuring concentrations from 0-100%. The sensor takes up to 20 readings per second, and has a 6 times faster response rate than the current SprintIR® CO₂ sensor, making it the world’s fastest battery-powered NDIR CO₂ sensor. This is achieved by using a small sample volume of only 2ml.
