LinkEx™ LX-400 LED Temporary Luminaire

The LinkEx™ LX-400 LED Temporary Luminaire is available in High and Low voltages with a T4 temperature class.  With an ambient temperature up to +55°C, the LX-400 has a light output at source of up to 4,000 lumens.  The LX-400E (Emergency) increases operator safety by automatically switching to its in-built battery power should there be any disruption to the normal power supply.

Anti-static and ATEX certified protection kits are available for use with the luminaires.

Both the LX-400 and LX-400E feature Wolf’s unique SOVI™ safety feature so you can be confident your lighting is operating safely, effectively and at the optimal voltage level.

LinkEx™ WF-300XL LED Floodlite

The LinkEx™ WF-300®XL LED Floodlite is a high performance, robust, lightweight and portable floodlite for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. It delivers an outstanding level of white light and is fully compliant with the latest ATEX and IECEx standards, including OPIS – optical intrinsic safety. Fitted with wolf’s unique SOVI system to ensure safe operation, the floodlite is certified for safe use in Zone 1, T4, IIC, -40°C To +55°C ambient, hazardous gas, vapour, mist or dust environments.

The WF-300®XL produces a class leading 6,378 lumens of bright white light which effectively illuminates the workspace, using a low power consumption of 55(LV)/62(HV) watts. Shadowing is reduced by multiple light sources – two independent drivers and two independent LED panels of 18 LEDs with each LED having an encapsulated optical device.  This patented design gives a 33-degree beam angle which gives long distance and wide area illumination. The high reliability LEDs are designed to give over 100,000 hours life, with LED life being assured by efficient heat dissipation through built in fins and electronic thermal control.

The independent panel and driver system provide failsafe reliability and ensure operators are never left in the dark. User safety is further increased with the unique Safe Optimal Voltage Indicator (SOVI) which alerts the user by pulsing the beam if the lights are running outside the certified and optimal voltage ranges, maximising both safety and performance. The user can therefore link together multiple mains Floodlites, safe in the knowledge that they are operating within the certified voltage range. In addition, both the HV and LV Floodlites are certified safe down to 0 volts.

The WF-300®XL is cable powered and available in two voltage options: 18-50V AC/DC and 90-264V AC/DC. Both versions come fitted with 10 metres of SY cable with an ATEX plug, with other options available. The high voltage version can be fitted with a LinkEx socket enabling up to 20 lights to be linked together in a daisy chain and powered from a single power source to illuminate large tanks and tunnels.

The WF-300®XL LED Floodlite is manufactured from materials tested and proven in the harshest environments and is ideal for Hazardous Area Temporary Lighting. The enclosure is made from marine grade aluminium; the lens is toughened, scratch, impact and chemical resistant glass. Further protection is offered by the frame which is constructed from 316 grade stainless steel with the lens and body being able to withstand an impact of 8 joules, four times the minimum requirement. The WF-300®XL is sealed dust tight and protected from water ingress with a certified IP66/67 enclosure.

A wide range of accessories are available including magnet fixings and tripod stands. With full support and servicing available from Wolf’s Sales and Technical team, the WF-300®XL offers an efficient, cost effective and truly versatile lighting solution for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in the world’s harshest environments.

The robust but simple Floodlite design ensures easy maintenance and cable replacement. It is quick and easy to disassemble, remove and replace parts and then re-assemble. Our innovative design allows the independent drivers (which can be replaced individually), LEDs and virtually all other parts to be replaced. Each product is supplied with full instructions which include a parts list indicating the replacement part number and details on how to replace it.

The WF-300®XL is available from stock and is designed to work together with the existing range of LinkEx™ LED Temporary Luminaires, transformers, splitter boxes and extensions to provide a complete Hazardous Area temporary lighting system.

LinkEx™ LED Temporary Luminaire

The LinkEx™ Led Temporary Luminaire is a high power LED leadlamp for use in short-term lighting installations and maintenance tasks and is CE marked to the ATEX directive and IECEX certified for safe use in zones 1 and 2 potentially explosive gas and dust atmospheres, where a T3/T4 (model dependent) temperature class permits.

Providing high quality ambient lighting, each unit utilises two arrays of high power LEDs offering brilliant white light output, high reliability, low maintenance ‘fitted for life’ light source, and power savings allowing longer cable runs and more lights powered from a single supply. Luminaires are supplied in ‘180°’ format (arrays side-by-side) to give effective unidirectional illumination or in ‘360°’ format (arrays back-to-back), to special order, to give effective omni-directional ‘all round’ illumination.

The unit’s construction is lightweight, compact and highly robust, with impact resistant end caps and tube (with anti-static and light diffusing coatings) plus the high visibility shock absorbing bump rings are chemical resistant and minimise the risk of drop damage, all ideal for handling in demanding conditions. Units can be fitted with integral ATEX sockets allowing multiple lamps to be quickly and safely connected and positioned in a chain whilst energised.

Available in two voltage input ranges: high voltage 85-264V AC for general applications and low voltage 18-50V AC/DC for use in confined space applications, such as metal tanks, with a higher risk of electric shock. The wide input voltage ranges maximise usability and safety for chains of multiple lights or for long cable runs, where supply voltage can drop. The unique SOVI (Safe Optimal Voltage Indicator) monitoring system clearly indicates when the supply voltage is operating outside the specified limits; in the HV version an LED indicator will flash red, and in the LV version the light will pulse either dimmer (if above the specified limit) or pulse brighter (if below the specified limit).

LinkEx™ Portable Fluorescent Leadlamp Emergency

The LinkEx™ Portable Fluorescent Leadlamp Emergency has a built-in back-up battery power supply to light the lamp in the event of a power failure and is ideal for exit route lighting allowing hazardous area workers to find their way to safe areas and emergency meeting points.

The Emergency Leadlamps are ATEX Directive and IECEx Certified for safe use in Zone 1 (Cat 2) IIC potentially explosive gas, vapour, mist and dust atmospheres, where a T3 temperature class permits and have twin side by side forward facing 36W energy efficient fluorescent lamps, delivering 5800 lumens output, available in voltages of 110V to 130V.

Upon power failure, the Emergency Leadlamp’s battery back-up supply initiates and powers one fluorescent tube immediately at a reduced power level, giving approx. three hours light output. The leadlamp should be charged/discharged 3 times upon commissioning to ensure the battery is cycled to peak capacity, charging time shall be min 24hrs. If powered for a short time the battery duration will be proportionally reduced.
