Wolflite XT Rechargeable LED Handlamp

The Wolflite Xt Rechargeable Handlamp exploits advanced technology to deliver excellent performance, robustness, reliability and versatility in the harshest environments and is CE marked to the ATEX directive and IECEX certified, for safe use in zones 1 and 2 potentially explosive gas and zones 21 and 22 dust atmospheres. A zone 0 and 20 version is available.

The XT Rechargeable LED Handlamp is available in a number of different models to optimise performance in specific applications. Bespoke optics and the highest performing ‘fitted for life’ LED light sources deliver outstanding light output from the high intensity spot beam; ideal for tasks requiring a higher light intensity. A wide-angle flood option is also available, for tasks with less extensive light requirement. Additional coloured LED signals can also be added. All products of the XT range have easy, single-handed switching even with gloved hands allowing for straightforward function selection.

Battery duration varies by model, from 4 hours of high output light (XT-50) to 11 hours (XT-90); selecting powersave doubles this duration. State of battery charge is indicated with a bar of high intensity red LEDs, which go out as battery charge diminishes and the beam flashes off repeatedly when recharging is required. Use of the latest lithium-ion battery technology improves reliability and eliminates ‘memory’ affect and the ‘quick’ charger base fully recharges the Handlamp in a minimum of 2 hours, dependent on model, and is configured as a holder with ‘snap-in/snatch-out’ function, for quick release but secure retention. Emergency illumination function illuminates Handlamp if power to the charger fails.

The compact and lightweight high strength body has proven impact resistance even at sub zero temperatures; enhanced by rubber armoured lens ring, and handle/sides give improved grip and shock protection. The lens is resistant to scratches and chemical attack; the enclosure is electrostatic nonhazardous and certified to IP67.

Wolflite H-251ALED Rechargeable Handlamp

The Wolflite H-251ALED Rechargeable Handlamp is ideal as a safety lamp for inspection and work tasks, offering a convenient and cost effective solution when frequently required for long periods, and is CE marked to the ATEX directive for safe use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The Handlamp offers extreme robustness and reliability in harsh environments; the scratch and impact resistant lens is made from 6mm toughened glass and the body and lens ring are moulded in a highly resilient thermoplastic material to withstand drop and impact expected from heavy industrial use, even at sub-zero temperatures. The material is electrostatic non-hazardous, ensuring there is no risk of a dangerous build up of static charges and the enclosure is sealed to IP66, preventing the ingress of dust and sealing against water, except submersion.

H-251ALED’s outstanding light output is achieved from an LED light source giving as much as 50% more light and a threefold increase in duration over many handlamps with halogen bulbs. It is focused within a 100mm diameter parabolic reflector giving the user an extremely well defined beam of intense white light.

The battery pack is a highly reliable sealed lead acid system, enhanced with electronic protection and control, and is rendered intrinsically safe by the use of a fast switching short-circuit protection circuit. A low voltage cut-off feature automatically switches the lamp off when all useful battery capacity has been used, protecting the battery from damage through deep discharge.

The emergency illumination function illuminates the handlamp if power to the charger is cut.

Wolflite H-4DCA Handlamp

The Wolflite H-4DCA Primary Cell Powered Safety Handlamp has been ‘CE’ marked in compliance with the 2014/34/EU ‘explosive atmospheres’ (ATEX) directive, for use in a wide range of potentially explosive gases, vapours, mists and dusts.

The lamp is constructed from a new, exceptionally robust and highly durable thermoplastic material, well able to withstand the effects of heavy industrial use. In addition to this, the material is anti-static, preventing the build up of potentially dangerous electrostatic charges. A 6mm thick, toughened, scratch resistant glass lens with rubber seal, together with a second seal fitted at the lens ring and lamp body joint, ensure that the lamp is protected from ingress of dusts and liquids and can therefore be used in the dustiest and wettest conditions possible.

The outstanding light output from this relatively small and compact handlamp is achieved with the use of a high output, high efficiency halogen bulb, rated at 4.8V 0.5A, focused within a 100mm diameter parabolic reflector. This provides the user with an extremely well defined beam of intense white colour.

The H-4DCA handlamp has been approved for use with alkaline manganese, zinc chloride or zinc carbon primary cells. The use of alkaline manganese cells is recommended because of their significantly greater capacity, delivering a brighter white light for up to 20 hours duration from one set of cells; by comparison, nearly four times the duration of zinc D cells. The H-4DCA is supplied complete with a convenient removable shoulder strap.

Wolflite H-251 MK2 Handlamp

The Wolflite H-251 MK2 is a rechargeable handlamp approved by Baseefa and suitable for use in hazardous zones 1 and 2. applications include the petrochemical and offshore industries, fire-fighting, gas and water distribution, wherever a potentially explosive atmosphere may occur.

The H-251 MK2 is constructed in highly durable polypropylene co-polymer, designed to withstand the effects of heavy industrial use. The glass lens is scratch and scuff resistant and will not discolour when in contact with chemicals. The entire product has been ‘drop’ tested for damage and both the outer and inner components proved equally highly resilient. Many unique design features are incorporated in the H-251 MK2 including; an interlock mechanism preventing internal access when the lamp is in use, short circuit protection via a ceramic fuse and a magnetically operated, hermetically sealed Reed Switch to avoid open internal sparking. The rechargeable battery pack is made up of two sealed lead acid cells assembled into a robust casing. This battery pack has a recharge/discharge life of approximately 500 cycles.

 

The H-251 MK2, has charging contacts on the base of the lamp to enable battery charging ‘in situ’ using the lamp charger. The H-251 MK2 chargers are available for mains (120/230v) or low voltage (12-32v) input for use in vehicles. All chargers have LEDs which indicate state of charge, a rating plate on the charger explains the sequence of this. The H-251 MK2 conforms with the DOT Class I ‘Safety Lamp’ specification, Regulation 17 of the SOLAS protocol and has been issued with a Lloyds Register of Shipping Type Approval Certificate. The H-251 MK2 is supplied complete with battery pack, lock key and shoulder lanyard, together with maintenance instructions giving comprehensive details of spares available and guidance for installation.

Toplite T3 Searchlight

The Toplite T3 Searchlight is a powerful, fully portable light source approved for use in zones 1 and 2 hazardous areas and is ideal for use in inspection, maintenance, security and rescue/recovery applications, in potentially explosive gas atmospheres.

Advanced design and quality components ensure a long life for the Toplite, even in heavy industrial use. The Toplite casing is lightweight and durable, made from anti-static polyethylene polymer to withstand drop and impact even at sub zero temperatures. Ergonomic design ensures easy operation with gloved hands; and allows single handed full power/off/low power selection. Ingress protection of IP67 for use in excessively wet conditions, and if dropped in water it will float, beam upwards, for easy location. The light source is a glass sealed beam unit, protected by a toughened glass lens. The TL-9050T3 spotlight has a 50 watt halogen lamp, providing a 160,000 candle power spot beam of intense white light, ideal for long distance illumination. The TL-9055T3 floodlight has a 35 watt trapezoidal flood beam, providing a wide angle of illumination over a localised area, perfect for maintenance operations in hazardous areas. High power on the Toplite TL-9050T3 lasts for approximately 70 minutes, low power for up to 130 minutes. On the TL-9055T3, high power lasts approximately 100 minutes, low power lasts for up to 190 minutes.

The recharge time for a fully discharged battery is 16 hours. An electronic microprocessor control circuit manages the operation and charging of the lamp, with multi-coloured state of charge indicator which displays battery capacity (charge and discharge modes), a low voltage cut-off device which automatically switches off the lamp at end of discharge, and a ‘walk-out mode’ which warns when low voltage cut-off approaches by automatically switching the beam to low power output and pulsing off once every 15 seconds. It is also equipped with a power failure illumination facility which is selectable by the user.
