  • for personal air monitoring
  • detection of flammable gases and vapours as well as O2, CO, NO2, SO2 and H2S

Powerful data analysis in the cloud

Safety and efficiency thanks to its networking capability: Transfer your recorded data directly and via Bluetooth to a smartphone and from there to the backend of the Gas Detection Connect software. As an alternative, you can also transfer the data directly to the cloud with the X-dock test station. This way, you have secure access to your data and its analysis at any time and from anywhere – simply via your internet browser.

Comfortable fleet management

With the X-am 2800 you can manage your fleet of equipment comfortably and efficiently in daily use. Save operating costs and time through fast tests by using the automatic test station X-dock with low gas consumption or a pure mechanical bump test station. Further advantages: powerful fleet management via our smart software solution, convenient firmware updates in the X-dock, an optional RFID transponder and individual colour marking of the devices. Few, easy-to-replace spare parts – including the power supply – and durable sensors ensure that your devices remain operational for many years. Dräger provides a 4-year manufacturer’s warranty on the basic device. Existing, relevant accessories from its predecessor, the X-am 2500 can continue to be used.

Tailor-made gas monitoring

Small and lightweight: The X-am 2800 is comfortable to wear and easy to use even with gloves on thanks to its large buttons. The display clearly shows important information such as gas readings, alarms and time. The green D-light indicates that the unit is ready for use. All this, plus the language-free menu, makes it pleasantly simple to use and familiarise yourself with. For your added safety, its oxygen channel has four alarm thresholds – real pre-alarms and main alarms for falling and rising concentrations. Approved for use in Ex zone 0, it has also been tested according to protection class IP 68.

Sensors: durable and powerful

The newly developed Ex sensor combines many advantages: readiness for calibration within seconds, extreme robustness against shocks and the measurement of flammable vapours – such as petrol, diesel and nonane. You can also set the measurement gas to methane, propane, hydrogen, and many other gases. The performance is complemented by Dräger’s simple cross calibration concept, in which the measurement gas, calibration gas and bump test gas can be specified individually. Upon testing, the X-am 2800 then takes over the necessary conversions.

The sensor was developed with the aim of meeting the demanding requirements of the new IEC standard 60079-29-1 (International Electrotechnical Commission) for such sensors. At the same time, the Ex sensor is resistant to poisoning substances such as silicones and other harmful substances. This combination of properties is exceptional. With years of experience in sensor technology, Dräger develops and produces the sensors itself, including the powerful and durable electrochemical sensors in the XXS format. Your advantage: sensors and device are perfectly matched to each other — saving you operating costs.

Focus on sustainability

During the development of the X-am 2800, great importance was given to sustainability. With an unlimited service life, the durable DrägerSensors and the rechargeable power supply, which can be easily replaced with one screw, ensure it has a long service life. Almost all spare parts can be replaced by trained users, while all remaining parts can be repaired by the Dräger Service. Furthermore, existing accessories from the previous series can still be used. Environmental protection has also been taken into account in the technical documentation and packaging: It is designed to save paper and when you order two or more units, we can reduce the number of instructions for use documents supplied if you order the configurator version. For your convenience, Dräger also takes back old devices and ensures that they are recycled properly.

Dräger Polytron® 8900 UGLD Ultrasonic-Gas-Leak-Detector

The Dräger Polytron® 8900 UGLD transmitter is an early warning area monitor for detecting high-pressure gas leaks in outdoor industrial process environments.

Thanks to an ultrasonic acoustic sensor, it responds earlier than conventional gas detectors because it registers the sound of leaking gas instead of measuring the concentration of accumulated gas clouds.

As gas escapes, leaks are immediately detected in the surrounding area, regardless of the wind direction.

  • Ultrasonic sensor technology – the early warning system for gas leaks
  • A perfect complement to your gas detection system
  • Delivers results that are easy to understand
  • Can even detect gas leaks in loud industrial environments
  • Robust design and fully-sealed sensor

Dräger X-am® 8000

Clearance measurement was never this easy and convenient: The Dräger X-am® 8000 measures up to seven toxic as well as flammable gases, vapours and oxygen all at once — either in pump or diffusion mode. Innovative signalling design and handy assistant functions ensure complete safety throughout the process.

Specially designed for use with a pump, optimised for your requirements

The Dräger X-am® 8000 is equipped with a very powerful pump. It can be connected with hoses of up to 45 metres in length. A pump adapter makes it easy to switch between diffusion and pump mode at any time. This means the pump is only operated when you actually need it. That saves energy, reduces wear and tear, and thereby extends the lifespan of the pump.

Handy and durable, the Dräger X-am® 8000 is intuitive to operate single-handedly using three function keys. The easy-to-read colour display clearly lays out all the information for you.

Standard accessories include a sturdy shoulder strap, so you can comfortably carry the X-am 8000. Thanks to its compact and robust construction, the device can withstand even the harshest conditions.

Clearance measurement, release and documentation in no time

The X-am 8000 effectively supports various applications with specially developed assistant functions that guide you through each process step by step. During clearance measurement, for example, the smart assistant calculates the necessary flooding time for the device and probe (FKM hose) based on parameters such as measuring gases, temperature limits, and the indicated hose length.

When monitoring for high methane concentrations, an optional automatic measurement range switch makes it easier to take a reading: if the Cat-Ex sensor measures values above 100% LEL, the display switches to the range of 0 to 100 vol%.

An additional useful tool is CSE Connect. It combines an Android app, specially designed for the X-am 8000, with a cloud-computing solution. Measuring jobs can be quickly and easily transferred to the app using an online application. An optional Bluetooth® module in the Dräger X-am 8000 enables measured values to be transferred automatically to the CSE Connect app. You can also easily and conveniently use the app to create measurement reports. This saves time and helps you manage your measuring tasks during clearance measurements more efficiently.

Clear signalling design

The signal system of the Dräger X-am 8000 is based on a clear colour code:

  • Red light = gas alarm
  • Yellow light = device-related alarm, e.g. low battery
  • Green light = device is ready for use

The green glow of the D-light allows you to see from a distance whether the device has been properly tested and is ready for use.In case of an alarm, the X-am 8000 alerts you with colourful alarm LEDs, a loud horn (100 dB(A) at a distance of 30 cm), and clearly palpable vibration. Optionally, four preset hazard symbols are available for the display which explicitly indicate the presence of explosive or toxic gas hazards, for example. This allows the user to easily recognise the type of hazard based purely on the symbol displayed.

The X-am 8000 is equipped with an impact detection system. The event report indicates whenever severe mechanical impacts have occurred that might result in functional impairments of the device or the sensors. These are also documented in the data logger.

Economical Fleet Management

Bumptest and calibration are carried out simply and quickly using the Dräger X-dock® calibrating station. Its low test gas consumption keeps operating costs to a minimum.

Its reporting function and numerous other useful features make the X-dock Manager PC software a smart addition to any fleet management operation. To identify the devices in the fleet, you can either use tried and tested barcodes or an integrated RFID transponder.

Specialist for high and low hydrocarbon concentrations

To measure hard-to-detect hydrocarbons, you can fit the Dräger X-am 8000 with one of two high-performance PID sensors. The PID HC covers a measurement range of 0 to 2,000 ppm (Isobutene). The PID LC ppb is particularly suited for a measurement range of 0 to 10 ppm (Isobutene) with a low resolution in the range below 1 ppm.

For benzene-specific measurements, the X-am 8000 can be used with a pre-tube. The advantage: you only need one measuring device for this application, which significantly reduces the costs of purchasing, maintaining and transporting devices in use. The use of the pre-tubes is supported by a built-in assistant.

Inductive charging protects against wear and tear

The X-am 8000 features inductive charging. This makes it easier to operate and increases the lifespan of the device. Issues like corrosion and contact problems in the charging cradle are a thing of the past. You can charge (outside of explosion-hazard zones) and measure at once, e.g, when in use inside vehicles or on machinery.

The charging cradle can connect with one another, taking up minimal space, and are compatible with existing Dräger X-am® series cradles.

Dräger Air Flow Tester

Air flow test tubes can be used universally: Simple and easy to use for the identification of air flows movements.

Benefits

Quick information

  • In many fields, such as mining or industry, it is very important to detect even the smallest air flows, in order to quickly and reliably evaluate the possible diffusion of dangerous substances. With the air flow test tubes, the source, direction and speed of the air flow are visible immediately.

Simple to use

  • Smoking sulfuric acid is located in the tubes. When the top of the tube is opened, a small rubber ball is used to pump air through the tube. This creates visible white smoke, which is carried on any existing air flows.

All-purpose

  • The air flow test tubes can be used until the “white smoke” has completely disappeared. If the test is completed before all the smoke disappears, the tube can be sealed again using the rubber cap provided.

Secure area monitoring

  • Time, place and gas concentration are the most important data in the event of a gas leak. In an emergency, every second counts. Consequently, we have developed a more efficient and significantly safer method of area monitoring compared to conventional solutions: the Dräger X-zone 5500 together with X-zone Com. With these you can receive and view the measured data and alarms outside of the danger zone.

X-zone Com

  • This module allows you to access the Dräger X-zone 5500 data wirelessly over the GSM network. Be it status requests or alerts via SMS using a periodic delivery of data via e-mail to a FTP server or a cloud service – the X-zone Com GSM module sends all data directly to the device of your choice.
  • Up to 25 Dräger X-zone can automatically connect themselves to a wireless alarmchain to accurately and comprehensively monitor large areas. Only a single X-zone Com is required to retransmit the data of the entire chain. All relevant information will reach those responsible within seconds.
  • Data from the Dräger X-zone 5500 group can also be displayed on a laptop via Bluetooth®. With the integrated GPS module, the position of the X-zone Com and thus the location of the hazard source is transmitted. A data logger continuously stores the measured values ensuring that no data is lost. Trend analysis using data from the cloud is possible.

Thus, all important measures covering evacuation and protection as well as the elimination of the problem and the resumption of work can be implemented quickly, efficiently and, above all, safely.

Dräger-Tube Pump Accuro®

Fast measurement with one hand: The Dräger-Tube pump accuro allows you to use the established Dräger-Tubes to take measurements under extreme conditions. The easy-to-use Dräger-Tubes have already been calibrated and form a perfect unit with the Dräger-Tube pump.

Benefits

Mobile spot measurement

  • This manual pump is used for spot measurements such as the detection of concentration peaks, confined space entry, worst-case scenarios etc.

Functional bellows pump

  • The Dräger-Tube pump accuro draws in 100 ml per stroke. When measuring, the pump body (bellows) is pressed together completely. The exhaust valve is closed during the opening phase of the bellows so that the gas sample flows through the connected Dräger-Tube into the pump. After the complete opening of the pump body into its original position the suction process is finished. The end of stroke is visible by a pressure-controlled end of stroke indication, located in the pump head.

Sampling

  • During the sampling process the substances to be evaluated are firstly accumulated on a suitable carrier material, e.g. activated charcoal, silica gel and so on. The air to be evaluated is thereby drawn over the respective material – with a predefined flow rate and duration. Afterwards, the substances that have accumulated on the carrier material through adsorption or chemisorption are examined qualitatively and quantitatively in the laboratory using instrumental analysis such as gas chromatography.

One-handed operation

  • Frequently, measurements need to take place under extreme conditions, e.g. on ladders, in shafts or when wearing heavy breathing protection. The Dräger-Tube pump accuro can easily be operated with one hand and enables a reliable measurement also in difficult-to-access places.
