Safety Operations Centre and Alarm Receiving Centre

Blackline’s Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) partners and in-house Safety Operations Centre (SOC) provide organizations with expert support, ensuring superior safety monitoring without sacrificing business productivity. G7 devices connect people in the field with live monitoring personnel 24/7, ensuring industry-leading safety monitoring can accompany workers wherever they operate and allowing incidents to be addressed as they happen, so no call for help ever goes unanswered. 24/7 live monitoring can be added to any G7 service plan, delivering a professionally trained and certified teams focused exclusively on monitoring the well-being and safety status of employees.

ARC and SOC monitoring personnel manage each alert in real-time from receipt through to resolution in the shortest possible time, according to custom emergency response protocols tailored to each business. Personnel can easily view the type and status of an alert, the moment it happens — G7 devices automatically communicate incident details to Blackline Live, from injuries and health events to gas exposures and evacuations. Notes are documented throughout the alert for future reference and process review.

Located at Blackline’s headquarters in Canada, the SOC’s superior standards are enforced by transparent response-time reporting. Monitoring over 15,000 devices in the field, the SOC responds to 99.7% of alerts in under 60 seconds, facilitating worry-free safety monitoring services and support for businesses. As more G7 devices are deployed in the field around the world, the team is expanded accordingly to cater to the increases in alerts, as well as to support multi-lingual businesses.

The SOC also has a series of backups in place to ensure monitoring services are never interrupted. The centre features dual internet connections, with multiple personnel on staff around-the-clock to ensure every alert is responded to quickly and efficiently. The team can also deploy as a self-sufficient, mobile unit in minutes — a mobile Wi-Fi puck and always-ready laptops mean personnel can connect to the internet from a vehicle on route to a back-up location, managing alerts on the move.

Blackline’s ARC partners and in-house SOC are a critical, reliable link between workers in the field and emergency responders. Professional training and ongoing improvements ensure the team is always ready to spring into action and deliver the help needed, every time.

Push-to-Talk

Push-to-talk is a service option available on G7c devices that allows them to function just like a two-way radio. Push-to-talk (PTT) eliminates the need to purchase, wear or manage separate radio and safety monitoring devices. This ground-breaking new addition to our G7 portfolio makes G7c the world’s first combined gas detector, radio and connected safety device.

PTT delivers access to real-time communications, with options to immediately call teammates on the same channel or to switch channels to easily communicate with other teams. Unlike conventional radios, PTT has no radio licencing and no range limit. Leveraging integrated cellular communications, PTT doesn’t require additional wi-fi or costly radio infrastructure. PTT features an all-call broadcast channel, where managers or supervisors can quickly relay emergency broadcasts to every device on the network.

Combining radio functionality with real-time safety features, PTT provides a connected solution enabling efficient communications throughout both day-to-day tasks and in the event of an emergency.

Conventional radios typically only offer 16 or 32 channels, but PTT features 100 customizable channels that automatically connect to wireless cellular networks in over 100 countries. These channels can be easily tailored to an organizations structure, projects and sites, regardless of their location. With the ability to support up to 250 users on a single channel, users can easily collaborate to help adhere to project schedules and deadlines. With PTT, G7c’s functionality is expanded in a way that significantly improves employee efficiency and productivity.

PTT integrates seamlessly with your device’s existing gas detection and real-time safety features, and G7c’s built-in cellular communications means it works right out of the box. Many businesses haven’t equipped each employee with two-way radios, but they wear a gas detector or lone worker monitor.

Blackline addresses this by providing an affordable solution for businesses to combine three devices into one, allowing more employees to have access to radio functionality. Teams are able to stay in touch without having to stop work to access a phone or radio, increasing an organization’s overall productivity and keeping employees safe.

Blackline Analytics

Blackline Analytics delivers a complete view of the data generated from G7 devices. It’s never been easier to gain complete access to the real-world status of your safety program. Data streamed from G7 devices in the field is sent to the Blackline Safety network when the device is in areas of connectivity. This “big data” is then compiled and organized into a series of maps, graphs and tables. Blackline Analytics eliminates the need for manually retrieving data logs and other productivity-draining activities. From gas readings and exposures to compliance status and safety events, Blackline Analytics compiles all data in a single, easy-to-use platform for straightforward review, powering informed decision making.

Built directly into Blackline Live, Blackline Analytics is available to any team member with account user log-in credentials and can be accessed from any internet-connected device. All information displayed in the analytics platform can be easily filtered and sorted to best suit the needs of a business. By delivering a real-world view of the compliance status of a fleet, organizations can easily manage asset maintenance, optimize usage and determine which devices are performing well and which can be leveraged better.

Blackline Analytics provides measurable insights over time and allows teams to dive deeper into data trends that help empower their business. Through a series of reports, teams can view events and usage data per user, group, organization, type of data and even type of gas sensor. Date ranges or groups can also be selected to compare data side-by-side. Businesses can view all data from their fielded G7 gas detectors to identify where gas exposures have occurred, which devices are being used properly and even which docking stations are under-utilized.

The big-data provided by Blackline Analytics empowers decision making and makes it simple to gain a deeper understanding of the activities of a fleet. It’s never been easier to use data today to plan for a safer and more productive future.
